The first trailer for The Lost City Of Z, starring Robert Pattinson, Charlie Hunnam, Sienna Miller, and Tom Holland, has been released, and it’s packed with action, adventure, and intrigue. Watch the movie’s first trailer below.
The movie, based on the book of the same name, tells the real-life story of Lt. Colonel Percy Fawcett, who set off in 1925 on an adventure in the jungles of Brazil hoping to find the mythical, golden kingdom of El Dorado. Among those also embarking on the journey with Fawcett were his eldest son Jack, explorer Henry Costin, and many others. While it had previously been believed that the Amazon was uninhabitable, the Fawcetts, Costin and others discovered indigenous tribes.
But their exploration was a difficult one, fraught with danger, disease, and death from a variety of causes. In the trailer, we see that the Fawcetts, Costin, and their team of other bold explorers encountering hostility from the tribal natives in the Amazon. In one shot, it becomes clear that inhabitants were also cannibals. Fawcett’s team disappeared in the Amazon’s jungle, with no explanation as to why they vanished.
In the The Lost City Of Z, Hunnam plays Fawcett, Miller is his wife left behind, Holland portrays his son Jack, and Pattinson is the explorer Henry Costin.
